2020 - Blind tasted - La Réserve de la Famille 2016 - Sainte Foy Bordeaux 93/100
Intense inky/black colour. Ambitious and modern nose with fine oak, high ripeness, dark chocolate, ripe plum, blackberry and cassis notes with fine layers. Dense and concentrated palate, polished and glossy with great power and persistency, certainly broad and structured but balanced with lovely fruit.

91/100 - Blind tasted - La Réserve de la Famille 2015 - Sainte Foy Bordeaux
Dark purple hue. Still very young and fresh nose of ripe dark berries, cassis, violet and some new oak. Full bodied palate with ripe dark fruit, a fresh acidity and plentiful but ripe tannin, it has good weight and length. Thus fine potential, just needs some more time to settle.

Dense ruby color with a purple halo. Animal nose, opening onto a pretty basket of black fruits, cedarwood, coffee, figs, leather and cocoa. Immense complexity on the palate opening up to blackberry marmalade, blackcurrant and black pepper. Body with noble tannins still robust, dark chocolate and bitter oranges. Exceptional length on an elegant and racy oak. Endless finish with a fine saline touch. Tasted in 2012
